President of Swimming Mid North Coast, Faye Rowles has undergone surgery on her hip this week and will be out of action for some time. We wish you, Faye, a speedy recovery - you haven't got time to lay around with the proposed trip to New Zealand and the winter Development Squads to organise ! |

It is sad to announce that Cundletown Swimming Club has applied to the Office of Fair Trading for cancellation of the Club. At a Special Meeting held in February a decision was made to wind up the Club. Cundletown, whilst only a small Club, has been a member of the Area for many years and has held carnivals at the Cundletown Pool on a number of occasions. With the closing of the pool, continuation of the Club was not a viable proposition. We would like to thank the past Committee members, Life Members and swimming families for their commitment with the Club over many years and are sad to see the Club disband. |

There are some swimmers entered for Block 3 who are not registered. The photo taken on the day at the
pool is of Linda and the team handing a cheque to the President of the area,
Faye Rowles, for $2500. Linda as
an employee of Bank of Queensland was entered in a competition with their
employees to find the volunteer of the company.
Linda won $5000 as one of the 6 finalist in this competition.
Linda had to nominate the sporting groups that she worked with and
Port Macquarie Swimming Club and Swimming Mid North Coast have received half
of the amount each as she works tirelessly for each of these groups.
